In the middle of a very busy month, we stop to celebrate Ava's 1st birthday. Although she officially turned 1 on Wednesday, we threw her a party at the house on Saturday complete with BBQ, drinks, great weather, and a lot of friends & family to join in the festivities. For her birthday, I made her a little video card which I've posted on the Ava site. If you can't get it to work or want a DVD copy, please let me know.

The weekend before, we drove to Phoenix on Ava's first road trip. She visited Granny & Oupa while Julia and I attended a marathon of 3 Red Sox games. We took Ava to the Sunday day game, her first live baseball game. She'd never seen a crowd of that size before but she absorbed it all in stride.

This coming weekend, the Red Sox come to town to play the Padres. We're seeing the Friday game and taking Ava to the Sunday game... but we're missing Saturday to attend The Police concert at Dodger Stadium in LA. They are the one band I always said I would absolutely see if they ever got back together for a reunion tour. So we're excited.

We're planning to visit New England sometime this summer. No firm plans yet but we are looking at late July/early August. Meanwhile, enjoy your summer and we hope to see you soon!
