Lots of exciting developments. Where do we begin??
Ava is almost 6 months old already. She can sit up, roll around, smile, interact, play, and charm just about anyone she comes into contact with. In such a short time, she has far exceeded our expectations.
We've just returned from her very first adventure. Last week, we flew cross country to Massachusetts for Thanksgiving. Ava was a star on the plane, suffered from some jetlag after we landed, but otherwise was terrific with the dozens of family and friends we introduced her to. It's silly to use the word about a baby but she was truly impressive.
In case you missed it, we had about 40 guests to our home a few weeks ago for Ava's Naming Ceremony. It was a lovely, intimate gathering and we were fortunate to share the moment with so many friends and family. If you're wondering, her Hebrew name is Vered. Vered is literally translated to the name 'Rose'; she is named after Julia's grandmother Rosalia (Ruth) and my grandmother Rhoda.
On the career front, I have a new position in a new company... even though I'm still sitting at the same desk. Recently, I was transferred from a Client Services Rep to Account Manager. After being the only Fagin left not in sales... guess what? They transferred me into sales. It's ok, I'm doing quite well with it. On top of that, my company Nine Systems was just acquired by Akamai Technologies. Akamai is the giant of the streaming industry and has an exceptional reputation as a well run, successful company. I am looking forward to what the future will bring.
This will be our last message for 2006. When we return in early 2007, we plan to have ridiculous amounts of pictures from our upcoming 3 week South African adventure. It is both my and Ava's first trip to Africa. We are excited beyond belief to go and share it with Julia. Jules wants me to something nice about her here. What can I say? I love my wife. Does that work?
We wish you all the happiest of holiday seasons and a wonderful New Year. See you in 2007!
