THE WEDDING

Our wedding occurred in Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday, March 22, 2003
at Grayhawk Golf Club

Upon arriving in Arizona, Chet and Julia received their marriage license from the Scottsdale municipal court.

On Friday morning, a small group ventured out to climb Squaw Peak, a mountain in the middle of Phoenix's valley.
It was almost an hour to the top and the climb was an exhausting challenge, but the view from the top - and the good times - made it all worth it.

On Friday evening, almost one hundred guests gathered at Greasewood Flats, an outdoor BBQ western establishment, on the outskirts of Scottsdale for hotdogs, burgers, beer, and great social fun.

The Ketubah is the document that recognizes the marriage under Jewish law.
A private - but rather crowded - ceremony was held shortly before the formal one commenced.

Chet and Julia made a film that was premiered at their wedding. It is the story of their relationship told in the style of the 1920's Keaton/Chaplin comedy. Watch it here!

On Monday, a group of about 20 drove two hours north to the Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona.
We indulged in some fine Mexican food and took a pink jeep tour into the barren but breathtaking landscape.

At the crack of dawn on Tuesday morning, the bride, groom, and three ready & willing friends set out towards Eloy for the skydiving experience of a lifetime.
For Matt, Jon Mug, and Joe, this would be their first jump ever. Though Chet and Julia had each jumped before, they had never done so together.

Well, not really a honeymoon but what else can you call it?
Once things settled down, Chet and Julia took two and a half days to hike down to the Havasupai Reservation near the Grand Canyon.
It was 9 miles each way with huge packs on our back, an absolutely exhausting yet exhilirating experience. Why put ourselves through that after a week of non-stop activity? The pictures speak for themselves.
